But hey don't freak out changing nameservers is as easy as A, B and C, you don't need to call your web developer or someone to do it for you. In addition, you get to save your money.
In this tutorial, I will teach you how to change nameservers for your website or blog.

In simple form, name servers help translate a domain's name to IP address. So they are very important for any website as well.

That said, guys, this process is straightforward, you don't need to contact external agencies in others to change your site's nameservers.
Please note, in others to make changes to nameservers you need to access your cPanel or client area of your hosting provider.
Non-technical guys don't know much about this, but your hosting panel area gives you access to all your files on your website. It also works as a good way to troubleshoot problems, especially problems caused by (CMS) Content Management Systems such as WordPress.
So if you don't have your login credentials, you need to get them from your web developer or the person who helped you develop the website.
In this article I will be using my hosting provider for this tutorial, if you don't know them they are true hosts, you can also check a review I did about it. If you've just started a new one, I recommend giving them a try.
1 log in to your dashboard, you must enter your credentials in others to gain access.
2 Click on the menu, if you use other hosting providers, your interface may look a little different than mine, but they are almost the same.
3 After clicking the menu, click (Domain) and then (My domain). You can search for it, it should be around the menu area
4 search for your domain name and then click settings or the menu under your domain name.
5 Click (Manage name servers) when you click (Manage name servers) you will see new windows asking you to use (Default name servers) or (Custom nameservers). The default nameservers are the nameservers that come with your hosting plan while the custom nameservers allow you to change the previous nameservers.
6 Click (Custom nameservers) and enter the new nameservers you want to switch to.
7 When you're done, click the save button or (Change name servers) button in other to save changes.
You will be notified if your nameserver change is successful or not. If the nameserver does not change, contact your hosting provider, it may be a problem on their end.
How long does it take to change name servers
Okay, for this the time it takes for nameservers to change can vary. This can be caused by your hosting provider or the name server you are trying to integrate.
In most cases, it takes effect in less than 5 minutesbut in some cases you have to wait after (24 hours for changes to take effect.
Please note that your website may go offline for a while. If the changes did not take effect after (24) hours, please contact your hosting provider to find out what the problem is.
Changing name servers is not as difficult as people think it is. It is very easy to change name servers. All you need is your login information for cPanel or the client area in others to make changes to name servers.
